Osho Ashram Garden Meditation In Pune

The Bhagwan Rajneesh's famous ashram Osho Ashram Garden meditation is in a leafy northern suburb of Pune.This is one of the main tourist attractions in Pune.The lust 40-acre campus, with lust foliage, white marble pathways, elegant black buildings, swimming pool, sauna, tennis and basketball court, massage and beauty parlour, bistro, bookshop and a five hector Zen garden known as Osho Teerth, open to public from 6am to 9am and 4pm to 7pm. Daily.

          The controversial avant-garde spiritual movement promoting meditation and uninhibited expression of body and mind was started in 1974 by Rajneesh, who later came to be known as OSHO. In January 1987, Rajneesh took residence at Pune ashram, and soon thousands of foreigners (mostly from Germany, Italy and Japan) were flocking to attend his nightly discourses and meditation courses. When he passed away in 1990, the Osho Commune began to be promoted as Osho Ashram Garden Meditation Pune.

          The Osho Ashram Garden Meditation Pune has devised over 50 different types of meditations, including Dynamic Meditation, kundalini Meditation, Gourishankar Meditation, Nadabarmha Meditation and many others. The striking black pyramid shaped auditorium that can accommodate 5,000 people was the talk of the town when the talk of the town when it was constructed. Other activities include the current western therapy approaches, the healing arts of East and West, creative arts, esoteric sciences, Zen & Sufism. The Osho Ashram Garden Meditation Pune has a vast collection of books authored by Osho and also tapes of his discourses. Every month, meditation programs take place in one weekend, which starts on the second Friday. These three days, people just experience and practice the meditation techniques of Osho.

Other Information-

• People visiting the Osho Commune International have to get themselves tested for AIDS, at the facility provided there.
• Children between twelve to eighteen years have to be accompanied by a parent.
• The ashram does not have facilities for children under twelve years or for people with severe physical or mental problems.

·         The ashram has a guest house of 60 air-conditioned rooms built on the lines of a five star deluxe hotel, with a traffic of approximately Rs.3,000 per night per room in peak season(winter)
